UNIQLOOOOO!

Are you as excited as I am? In just 3 days Uniqlo’s going to open its doors to sunny sunny Singapore! Finally for once! A rumour finally materializes.

The prominent Japanese cult-clothing store has plans to make available more than 200 items specifically selected for the Singapore market (more suited for the eccentric weather here I hope!). The popular street wear brand started its global expansion in the UK and currently has operations in China, Hong Kong, South Korea, USA and France. They ensure that their “perfect balance of fashionable, basic casual wear with the best quality at the lowest prices” is sure to win over Singaporean consumers despite the recession. The staff is also specially trained in the “Uniqlo way”!

According to Uniqlo, you are what you wear and the clothes you wear directly express who you are as a person, your personality, what you’ve been through, where you have been and what you love! This is what the up and coming UT collection embodies.

They also regularly collaborate with world-renown designers such as Phillip Lim (gasp!), Alice Roi, Loden Dager, Lutz & Patmos and Alexander Wang (gasp gasp!) to present special capsule collections. Wang’s Uniqlo collection ranges from S$39 to $135. This is a much MUCH cheaper alternative as pieces from his own collection can fetch up prices that range from US$100 to $700!!!

The brand’s innovative spirit drives its designers to constantly come up with better fit and designs for basics. The Singapore website is already up and running so you can hop over right now to have a quick preview of the prices and products in store for you!

Just as I hoped! They didn’t jack up the prices too much☺.
UT tees from $24.90
Bra Tops from $29.90
Polo Shirts from $29.90
Jeans from $69.90

Uniqlo is already all set to open their 2nd Singapore outlet in Orchard’s ION mall in August.

“Style comes from within, which is why the UNIQLO logo is nearly invisible, tucked away inside the garment.” In other words, it provides a blank canvas for wearers to put on their own splashes of colour and texture.”
Great! I’m already liking the sound of this. I’m ready to paint my own canvas! Yet another reason to love the brand.

Remember… you have THREE days to save up!

See you at
Uniqlo, Tampines 1 Mall, 2nd level, from 10am -10pm on 9 April!
